Fabulous! The Uyghur Muqam was performed at the International Grand Bazaar in Urumqi, Xinjiang Uyghur autonomous region, Jan 27, adding color to the upcoming Spring Festival.
Xinjiang Uyghur Muqam refers to a variety of songs, dances, folk and classical music. It is characterized by diversity of content, choreography, musical styles and instruments. It was designated a UNESCO World Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2008.
