On Jan 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 63 new cases of confirmed infections (38 imported cases, 20 in Shanghai municipality, 5 in Yunnan province, 4 in Zhejiang province, 3 in Guangdong province, 2 in Henan province, 1 in Beijing municipality, 1 in Jilin province, 1 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and 1 in Sichuan province, including 6 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 4 in Zhejiang, 1 in Guangdong and 1 in Yunnan; 25 indigenous cases, 6 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, 5 in Fengtai district, Beijing, 5 in Mudanjiang, Heilongjiang province, 4 in Langfang, Hebei province, 1 in Hebei district, Tianjin, 1 in Fengxian district, Shanghai, 1 in Anyang, Henan, 1 in Ili Kazak autonomous prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region and 1 in the fourth division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, including 2 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 1 Beijing and 1 in Heilongjiang), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 188 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 3,785 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 1.

As of 24:00 on Jan 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 12,473 (reduced by 1 after verification) cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 11,442 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 1,031 (reduced by 1 after verification) confirmed cases (including 1 case in serious condition) and no suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Jan 26, the National Health Commission had received reports of 105,811 (reduced by 1 after verification) confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 98,814 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 2,361 (reduced by 1 after verification) confirmed cases (including 7 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 1,506,684 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 39,566 were still under medical observation.

On Jan 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 55 new asymptomatic cases (38 imported cases; 17 indigenous cases, 11 in Heilongjiang including 10 in Mudanjiang and 1 in Suihua, 3 in Ili Kazak autonomous prefecture, Xinjiang, 2 in the fourth division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and 1 in Shangrao, Jiangxi province). 41 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 36 imported cases) and 8 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 6 imported cases). As of 24:00 on Jan 26, 784 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 680 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Jan 26, 31,844 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 13,262 in Hong Kong (213 had died and 12,655 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 79 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 18,503 in Taiwan (851 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
