People in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region are showing their support for the upcoming Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics by engaging in snow and ice sports. Some people even ski on boards covered with animal skin, just like those used by ancient ancestors. Skiing in Xinjiang dates back to the Paleolithic age, evidenced by old pictographs.
