Hai'an silk manufacturer makes a splash at its CIIE debut

A silk products manufacturer based in the county-level city of Hai'an – administered by Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province – did extremely well recently at one of the country's preeminent trade shows.

The Xinyuan Group debuted at the cultural exhibition area of the fourth China International Import Expo, or CIIE, on behalf of Jiangsu province and was the only Nantong firm in the cultural exhibition area. The ever popular and prestigious CIIE kicked off on Nov 5 in East China's Shanghai city and will wrap up on Nov 10.

The company's silk apparel and home textile products come in different styles, colors and with multiple functions, such as scarves, pajamas, qipao – a traditional Chinese one-piece dress – and beddings. Its wares attracted hordes of interested visitors to the company's stand, generating a raft of deals. Exhibits also included skin care products, tea and wine.

The Xinyuan Group is said to be in the first group of national leading companies in China's agriculture sector, with a complete silk cocoon industry chain. Moreover, it excels in sci-tech innovation, high-quality brands and its commercial success has enabled local farmers increase their incomes. It is also a national model for e-commerce, intellectual property and industrial brand cultivation.

As a time-honored enterprise in Nantong, Xinyuan has been widely lauded for its activities in green development, innovative industry development and in rural revitalization.
