FAW-Toyota launches Corolla Cross SUV

Sino-Japanese joint venture FAW-Toyota launched its Corolla Cross SUV on Thursday in an effort to further explore the world's largest vehicle market.

The model, available in five variants, is priced from 129,800 yuan to 169,800 yuan.

Among other things, the Corolla Cross has a class-leading wheelbase of 2,640 mm to ensure more legroom for passengers.

It sports a 2.0-liter engine coupled with the Direct Shift-CVT gearbox. The model has a maximum output of 126 kW and a top torque of 205 Nm.

Despite its performance, its fuel consumption stands at 5.9 liters per 100 km.

FAW-Toyota is a major joint venture in China. It delivered 860,000 vehicles in China in 2021, up 108 percent year-on-year.
