The China CDC held a national video conference on education and training on Dec 28, 2021.
More than 100 participants, including representatives from provincial CDCs, attended the conference.
Wang Rongrong, director of the Monitoring and Evaluation Office at the Bureau of Disease Prevention and Control of the National Health Commission, urged that CDCs at the provincial level should take State-funded training as an effective means to improve the education and training system on disease prevention and control.
Liu Jianjun, deputy director of the China CDC, praised the progress of talent cultivation on disease prevention and control and called for further strengthening the national education and training network in the CDC system.
At the conference, Liu also outlined the progress made on the building of the public health and preventive medicine terminology system.
Luo Huiming, head of the Office of Education and Training at the China CDC and deputy head Ma Huilai as well as other experts gave thematic reports on training in public health, human resource development, COVID-19 response and FETP capacity improvement and epidemic prevention and control at the community level.
Representatives from CDCs in Shanghai, Chongqing, and Hunan, Sichuan, Fujian, Shanxi, Zhejiang, Guizhou and Yunan provinces reported on and discussed their pilot work on standardized training for doctors, training programs for key personnel and education and training in general.
