Imperial Merchant Street opens at Old Summer Palace in Beijing

According to historical records, there were two business streets at the Old Summer Palace (Yuanmingyuan Park) in Beijing. To restore the scene of the bustling streets, a new Imperial Merchant Street just opened in the garden with nearly 30 stores selling groceries, traditional snacks, drinks, and cultural and creative products. Although the street's layout is fully modeled after the original, the shopping experience can be upgraded, as it features light and shadow designs technology.
