Hechi speeds up construction of major projects

Recently, great progress has been made at the Guiyang-Nanning High-speed Railway construction site. The cantilever girders for the Hechi-Longjiang bridge were successfully closed, and the construction of bridges on the Huanjiang section has completed 93 percent of the planned tasks.

The smooth construction progress of the Guiyang-Nanning High-speed Railway is an example of the accelerated construction of major projects in Hechi. In the first three quarters, 40.56 billion yuan ($6.37 billion) was invested in the city's major projects. A total of 1,021 projects were completed with an investment of 293.55 billion yuan, which exceeded the annual target ahead of schedule.

"In the fourth quarter, we will continue to work hard and to achieve good results for the start year of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25)," an official of the Hechi municipal development and reform commission said.

From 2021 to 2025, the city plans to complete more than 7,000 major projects including 1,000 major projects with an investment of over 100 million yuan. Hechi will comprehensively improve the quantity and quality of major project plans, and promote the implementation of a number of major projects during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.

In order to promote the construction of major projects, Hechi established a work headquarters, and regularly sent personnel to the major project sites to carry out supervision, coordination and service guidance. In addition, the city has paid close attention to the application and investment works of major projects.
