The Chinese Chemical Society's 15th Bio-inorganic Chemistry Conference and Metal Chemistry Biology Conference was recently held in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province.
The conference was co-sponsored by the Inorganic Chemistry Subject Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society and Shanxi University.
With the theme "Bio-inorganic and Health", the conference consisted of 183 lectures and displayed 69 posters and 321 conference papers over the course of four days.
More than 400 people, including experts and scholars from major domestic universities and research institutes and editors of well-known academic journals at home and abroad attended the conference.
Guo Zijian, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, summarized the development achievements of China's bioinorganic chemistry industry in recent years and talked about its future potential.
Yang Pin, first director of the Institute of Molecular Science at Shanxi University, thanked the older generation of bioinorganic chemists for their efforts to promote the development of the country's bioinorganic chemistry, and encouraged young scholars to work to make new achievements.
