Dec 14: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On Dec 13, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 76 new cases of confirmed infections (25 imported cases, 7 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 6 in Shanghai municipality, 4 in Guangdong province, 3 in Yunnan province, 2 in Fujian province, 1 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Henan province and 1 in Hunan province, including 2 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 1 in Henan and 1 in Guangxi; 51 indigenous cases, 44 in Zhejiang including 38 in Shaoxing, 4 in Ningbo and 2 in Hangzhou, 5 in Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 1 in Qiqihar, Heilongjiang province, and 1 in Xi'an, Shaanxi province), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 26 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 718 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 5.

As of 24:00 on Dec 13, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 10,503 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 9,985 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 518 confirmed cases (including 4 cases in serious condition) and 1 suspected case.

As of 24:00 on Dec 13, the National Health Commission had received reports of 99,856 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 93,789 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 1,431 confirmed cases (including 22 cases in serious condition) and 1 suspected case. 1,369,115 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 58,721 were still under medical observation.

On Dec 13, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 15 new asymptomatic cases (11 imported cases; 4 indigenous cases in Qiqihar, Heilongjiang). 12 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 8 imported cases) and 2 (imported cases) became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on Dec 13, 445 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 399 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Dec 13, 29,309 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 12,490 in Hong Kong (213 had died and 12,173 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 77 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 16,742 in Taiwan (848 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
