SND eyes high quality development of cross-border e-commerce

Suzhou New District recently rolled out a series of measures on accelerating the high quality development of its cross-border e-commerce industry, local media outlets reported.

The measures cover a wide range of cross-border e-commerce-related fields, such as cultivating entities, bringing in service platforms, establishing characteristic industrial parks, carrying out personnel training, hosting targeted activities, and building overseas warehouses.

In terms of cultivating cross-border e-commerce entities, SND encourages traditional companies to go digital and cross-border e-commerce companies to grow bigger and stronger. It will help companies with their brand building, technological innovation, as well as online and offline interactions with other related companies.

In terms of bringing in and building up cross-border e-commerce service platforms, SND said that it will offer subsidies and rewards to those qualified platforms.

In supporting the construction of characteristic cross-border e-commerce parks, SND will focus on the stable and healthy development of its cross-border e-commerce supervision areas. It will support the opening of an online international franchise store of Suzhou's fine crafts, as well as provide subsidies to maintain the smooth running of the platforms.

In recent years, SND has been seizing new opportunities brought about by digital trade to boost its cross-border e-commerce industry. It will continue to benefit from domestic policies and further international development trends.
