Aeolus launches latest Max model

Chinese carmaker Dongfeng Aeolus launched its latest Max model, with the Chinese name Anye Yixuan, on Saturday.

Billed as the first mass-produced mecha vehicle in the country, the model is available in two variants and priced from 127,900 yuan to 137,900 yuan.

Mecha has its origins in Japanese, which refer to both scientific ideas and science-fiction genres that center on giant robots or machines controlled by people.

The model has a matte black color and features a wide body design, which coupled with the 19-inch alloy wheels have made the vehicle more sportier.

It is 4,817 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width and 1,475 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,770 mm.

The model sports a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, which generates a maximum output of 140 kW and a top torque of 300 Nm.

It boasts a slew of smart features, including Huawei's HiCar system, voice command as well as cruise control.
