Nov 30: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On Nov 29, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 39 new cases of confirmed infections (18 imported cases, 9 in Guangdong province, 4 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 2 in Yunnan province, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Fujian province and 1 in Shandong province, including 2 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases in Guangdong; 21 indigenous cases in Inner Mongolia autonomous region including 19 in Hulunbuir and 2 in Tongliao, including 2 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 36 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 2,290 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 1.

As of 24:00 on Nov 29, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 10,169 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 9,762 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 407 confirmed cases (including 3 cases in serious condition) and 3 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Nov 29, the National Health Commission had received reports of 98,711 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 93,285 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 790 confirmed cases (including 7 cases in serious condition) and 3 suspected cases. 1,328,055 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 32,997 were still under medical observation.

On Nov 29, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 22 new asymptomatic cases (all were imported cases). 12 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 10 imported cases) and 4 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 2 imported cases). As of 24:00 on Nov 29, 462 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 395 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Nov 29, 29,103 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 12,430 in Hong Kong (213 had died and 12,134 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 77 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 16,596 in Taiwan (848 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
