Nov 26: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On Nov 25, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 13 new cases of confirmed infections (9 imported cases, 6 in Guangdong province, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Shanghai municipality and 1 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, including 1 confirmed case converting from an asymptomatic case in Tianjin; 4 indigenous cases, 3 in Shanghai including 2 in Pudong New Area and 1 in Qingpu district, and 1 in Dalian, Liaoning province), 2 new cases of suspected infections (both were imported cases in Shanghai), and no deaths. 67 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 4,492 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases remained unchanged.

As of 24:00 on Nov 25, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 10,091 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 9,704 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 387 confirmed cases (including 3 cases in serious condition) and 4 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Nov 25, the National Health Commission had received reports of 98,583 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 93,087 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 860 confirmed cases (including 8 cases in serious condition) and 4 suspected cases. 1,315,485 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 28,342 were still under medical observation.

On Nov 25, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 18 new asymptomatic cases (15 imported cases; 3 indigenous cases, 2 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province and 1 in Xuzhou, Jiangsu province). 62 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 10 imported cases) and 1 (imported case) became a confirmed case. As of 24:00 on Nov 25, 449 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 372 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Nov 25, 29,048 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 12,417 in Hong Kong (213 had died and 12,125 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 77 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 16,554 in Taiwan (848 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
