Shanxi University furthers cooperation with three Shanxi counties

Shanxi University recently signed agreements with the counties of Guxian, Tianzhen and Yonghe in North China's Shanxi province to jointly build 12 centers.

Cheng Fangqin, vice-president of Shanxi University, said that the university has always maintained close contact with counties in Shanxi and carried out cooperation in talent training, think tank construction, and scientific research and development to support county-level socioeconomic development.

There is a good foundation for cooperation between the university and the three counties. And this new cooperation marks a milestone in mutual cooperation.

Pang Mingming, Party secretary of Guxian county, said that Guxian will make more efforts to promote stronger cooperation with Shanxi University in industrial transformation and upgrading, the development of new materials, food processing, and circular agriculture.

Yan Weiguo, head of Tianzhen county, said that it is a great honor to represent the county and discuss cooperation with his alma mater. Tianzhen has strong transportation infrastructure, a healthy environment, and rich mineral resources, and will seek more cooperation opportunities in the industrial R&D of new energy, continuing education and rural revitalization.

Li Zhanjun, executive deputy head of Yonghe county, stated that the county is building a demonstrative county for environmental management and protection and the high quality development of the Yellow River basin, and the partnership with Shanxi University will definitely offer a strong development boost to the county.
