Fuzhou hosts festival to boost Maritime Silk Road cultural tourism

The 7th Maritime Silk Road (MSR) International Tourism Festival opened on Nov 23 in Fuzhou, the capital city of Fujian province. The festival lasts through the middle of December.

With a theme of "building the Maritime Silk Road together to achieve prosperous cultural tourism", this festival aims to showcase intangible cultural heritage items, historical stories, tourist attractions, and traditional Fujian culture in both online and offline venues.

During the festival, a number of events have been launched, including the "Maritime Silk Road Wonderful Night" cultural tourism experience activity, the 2021 Fujian Tourism Fair, and the 12th Hot Spring International Tourism Festival.

The MSR International Tourism Festival, which is the only comprehensive large-scale international tourism festival with the theme of "Maritime Silk Road" in China, has successfully set up a platform for tourism cooperation among the countries and regions along the Maritime Silk Road.
