Chinese carmaker JMC made the global debut of its latest mid-size SUV Ford Equator Sport on Friday at the Guangzhou auto show.
Ford is the second largest shareholder of JMC, which has been producing and selling some of the United States carmaker's vans and SUVs.
The Equator Sport sports Ford's EcoBoost 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, which generates a maximum output of 125 kW and a top torque of 260 Nm.
The engine, coupled with a seven-speed transmission, has a fuel consumption of 6.3 liters per 100 kilometers.
In addition to the Equator Sport, JMC is selling another three SUVs including the Everest and an MPV.
It has built a network of 175 showrooms in 155 cities across the country.
