During the first three quarters of the year, the total GDP of Guiyang was 310.24 billion yuan ($48.49 billion), topping all the cities and prefectures in Southwest China's Guizhou province, according to the latest data released by the Guizhou Bureau of Statistics.
Following Guiyang was the city of Zunyi with a GDP of 303.79 billion yuan and Bijie with a GDP of 158.59 billion yuan.
In terms of the GDP growth rate from January to September, Zunyi ranked first with a growth rate of 11.7 percent, Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture ranked second with a growth rate of 11.5 percent, while Anshun ranked third with a growth rate of 11.3 percent.
During the same period, Guizhou's GDP was 1.4 trillion yuan, up by 8.7 percent on the same period last year and 12.2 percent up on the same period in 2019.
