Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region conducted a total of 88.86 million cross-border e-commerce import and export transactions in the first nine months of 2021, local media outlets reported on Oct 18.
Among these orders, 84.42 million are export transactions to ASEAN countries, which increased by 2.8 times from the same period in 2020.
An official from Nanning Customs said that customs has been working closely with local governments to effectively shorten clearance time and improve supervision capacity.
"Products for cross-border e-commerce export can go through customs inspection in only about one hour thanks to the new operation model launched by customs," said Yang Shanshan, the person in charge of a logistics company in Pingxiang, Guangxi.
The cross-border e-commerce industry in Guangxi has welcomed new development opportunities with the continuously deepened cooperation between China and ASEAN.
