Multiple-stop train line helps Yi people rise out of poverty

Before the upcoming new year of the Yi ethnic group, which starts on Nov 20, the No 5633 train is picking up passengers and transporting poultry, livestock, and holiday goods across the Daliang Mountains.

Offering a fixed cheap fare for more than 20 years, the 30-stop train has helped these mountain dwellers rise out of poverty.
