The 2021 World Industrial Design Conference concluded on Oct 24 in Yantai, a coastal city in East China's Shandong province.
The three-day event was attended by government officials, industry organizations, experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, designers, and other innovation leaders from more than 40 countries and regions, who shared their insights into the latest industrial design trends.
A total of 15 forums were held during the event, focusing on civil aircraft industrial design, block-chain technology and application, and ship and marine engineering innovation design.
More than 300 Yantai companies, universities, and parks participated in the event, and agreements worth 24 billion yuan ($3.76 billion) were signed for investment, technical cooperation, and trade cooperation.
The 2021 China Excellent Industrial Design Award Exhibition was a highlight of the conference, as it displayed nearly 1,000 cutting-edging products made by nearly 200 famous international design companies, manufacturing enterprises, universities, and institutes.
The exhibits covered the fields of aerospace, intelligent robotics, electronic information, medical instruments, cultural creation, and home appliances.
With both online and offline channels, the event attracted 10 million online viewers and 50,000 offline visitors.
