Chinese carmaker SAIC Motor started presales of its crossover MG One Alpha on Saturday.
The model, is available in three variants, priced from 111,100 yuan to 138,900 yuan. It will hit the market within this year.
Built based on SAIC's SIGMA platform, the MG One Alpha sports a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, with its maximum output reaching 181 Ps and its top torque hitting 285 Nm.
It goes with a CVT 280 transmission co-developed with Bosch and accelerates from zero to 100 km per hour in 8.1 seconds.
The MG One Alpha has a sporty look that is designed for the young. Inside the vehicle, it sports the AliOS and is capable of recognizing gestures and voice commands.
It has a 30-inch display and such applications including Bilibili are preinstalled.
The model boasts the MG Pilot 2.0 driving assist functions, including the driver-free automatic parking.
SAIC MG said it will launch another version of the MG One, the Beta, which has more technical features, in 2022.
