Nov 15: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On Nov 14, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 52 new cases of confirmed infections (20 imported cases, 5 in Shanghai municipality, 4 in Guangdong province, 4 in Yunnan province, 3 in Shandong province, 2 in Fujian province, 1 in Shanxi province and 1 in Shaanxi province, including 1 confirmed case converting from an asymptomatic case in Guangdong; 32 indigenous cases, 25 in Dalian, Liaoning province, 3 in Henan province including 2 in Zhoukou and 1 in Zhengzhou, 2 in Heihe, Heilongjiang province, 1 in Xinji, Hebei province and 1 in Dehong Dai and Jingpo autonomous prefecture, Yunnan, including 12 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 10 in Liaoning and 2 in Henan), 2 new cases of suspected infections (both were imported cases in Shanghai), and no deaths. 55 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 2,492 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 2.

As of 24:00 on Nov 14, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 9,885 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 9,503 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 382 confirmed cases (including 2 cases in serious condition) and 4 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Nov 14, the National Health Commission had received reports of 98,315 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 92,332 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 1,347 confirmed cases (including 17 cases in serious condition) and 4 suspected cases. 1,297,645 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 46,241 were still under medical observation.

On Nov 14, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 14 new asymptomatic cases (12 imported cases; 2 indigenous cases in Shangrao, Jiangxi province). 12 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 10 imported cases) and 13 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 1 imported case). As of 24:00 on Nov 14, 521 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 367 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Nov 14, 28,945 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 12,381 in Hong Kong (213 had died and 12,090 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 77 in Macao (76 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 16,487 in Taiwan (848 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
