Philips Lighting (Guangzhou) Ltd was established in March 2011 in Huangpu district. Its parent company, Philips, first put down roots in China in the 1920’s and formed an initial joint venture in China in 1985. Following its long-term commitment, Philips continuously brought in leading products and services of Healthcare, Lifestyle and Technology (HLT) to the Chinese market. 
Philips now has total accumulated investment in China exceeding USD 4 billion, and has set up more than 20 joint ventures and wholly owned enterprises, employing around 11,000 employees nationwide.
