On Nov 9, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 54 new cases of confirmed infections (15 imported cases, 3 in Shanghai municipality, 3 in Shandong province, 3 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 1 in Beijing municipality, 1 in Liaoning province, 1 in Jilin province, 1 in Henan province, 1 in Guangdong province and 1 in Yunnan province, including 2 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 1 in Henan and 1 in Guangxi; 39 indigenous cases, 17 in Dalian, Liaoning, 8 in Henan including 7 in Zhengzhou and 1 in Zhoukou, 5 in Xinji, Hebei province, 4 in Heihe, Heilongjiang province, 2 in Shangrao, Jiangxi province, 2 in Dehong Dai and Jingpo autonomous prefecture, Yunnan and 1 in Chengdu, Sichuan province, including 6 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases in Henan), 1 new case of suspected infections (an imported case in Shanghai), and no deaths. 54 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 2,131 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 6.

As of 24:00 on Nov 9, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 9,794 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 9,406 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 388 confirmed cases (including 3 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Nov 9, the National Health Commission had received reports of 97,939 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 92,081 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 1,222 confirmed cases (including 21 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases. 1,285,582 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 49,868 were still under medical observation.

On Nov 9, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 39 new asymptomatic cases (14 imported cases; 25 indigenous cases, 15 in Dalian, Liaoning, 5 in Henan including 4 in Zhoukou and 1 in Zhengzhou, 2 in Dehong Dai and Jingpo autonomous prefecture, Yunnan, 1 in Alshaa League, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 1 in Shangrao, Jiangxi and 1 in Lanzhou, Gansu province). 9 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 8 imported cases) and 8 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 2 imported cases). As of 24:00 on Nov 9, 529 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 354 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Nov 9, 28,897 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 12,369 in Hong Kong (213 had died and 12,036 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 77 in Macao (75 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 16,451 in Taiwan (848 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
