Beijing parks use scientific management to enhance diversity and beauty

Beijing has entered its prettiest season with cooler weather and golden falling leaves, which has added much romance to the city. 

The city's tree-covered mountains are painted in shades of yellow and red. 

In recent years, Beijing has built more "pocket gardens" in the downtown area and an increasing number of plants in the city, including those in residential communities, the Beijing Forestry and Parks Bureau said on Nov 3. 

The bureau has been making necessary improvements and adjustments to enable trees to be prettier and stay green longer. 

It has also worked to diversify the plants in a particular area. In the past, there used to be some 10 plants in one place, displaying green leaves. Now, a more comprehensive and scientifically designed system and structure is being used to grow plants in a single location.
