On Nov 2, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 109 new cases of confirmed infections (16 imported cases, 5 in Shanghai municipality, 4 in Guangdong province, 2 in Yunnan province, 1 in Liaoning province, 1 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Shandong province, 1 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and 1 in Sichuan province, including 3 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 1 in Liaoning, 1 in Zhejiang and 1 in Sichuan; 93 indigenous cases, 35 in Heihe, Heilongjiang province, 14 in Shijiazhuang, Hebei province, 14 in Gansu province including 13 in Tianshui and 1 in Lanzhou, 9 in Changping district, Beijing municipality, 6 in Alshaa League, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 4 in Chongqing municipality including 2 in Jiulongpo district, 1 in Banan district and 1 in Changshou district, 4 in Xining, Qinghai province, 2 in Shangrao, Jiangxi province, 2 in Dehong Dai and Jingpo autonomous prefecture, Yunnan, 2 in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region and 1 in Chengdu, Sichuan, including 1 confirmed case converting from an asymptomatic case in Beijing), 1 new case of suspected infections (an imported case in Shanghai), and no deaths. 21 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 2,505 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. As of 24:00 on Nov 2, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 9,670 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 9,293 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 377 confirmed cases (including 2 cases in serious condition) and 3 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Nov 2, the National Health Commission had received reports of 97,423 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 91,787 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 1,000 confirmed cases (including 37 cases in serious condition) and 3 suspected cases. 1,262,122 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 39,716 were still under medical observation.

On Nov 2, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 19 new asymptomatic cases (8 imported cases; 11 indigenous cases, 7 in Shangrao, Jiangxi, 2 in Chongqing including 1 in Yubei district and 1 in Changshou, 1 in Harbin, Heilongjiang and 1 in Chengdu, Sichuan). 23 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 21 imported cases) and 4 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 3 imported cases). As of 24:00 on Nov 2, 384 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 335 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Nov 2, 28,847 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 12,349 in Hong Kong (213 had died and 12,034 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 77 in Macao (75 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 16,421 in Taiwan (847 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
