Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is holding a launch ceremony for the development of an innovation hub city for the Innovation China program on Oct 19-20.
The Innovation China program was launched by the China Association for Science and Technology, aiming to collect the resources of industries, universities, research institutions, and financial institutions to accelerate the commercialization and application of scientific and technological achievements.
The program released the first batch of innovation hub cities in 2020, and named Guiyang as an innovation hub city in May this year.
The launch ceremony will invite academicians, experts, and scholars to share their opinions and contribute to Guiyang's high-quality development.
Guiyang will introduce its innovation hub city construction progress and policies for industries and technological innovation, and service teams from the Innovation China program will introduce their service programs according to different industries.
Guiyang will also invite experts to survey its big data, equipment manufacturing, new materials, and aluminum material industries, as well as establish academician work stations.
