Over 200 performers gathered at the National Centre for the Performing Arts on Friday to mark the 22nd anniversary of Macao's return to China.
With songs and music themed on two kinds of flowers from Zhuhai and Macao, the concerts featured an orchestra.
As one of the most famous flowers of south China, bougainvillea has been honored at the "Flower of the City", while trollflower is a symbol of Macao.
The performance gave a full picture of Macao's return to China. Also, it depicted a new future about the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
"It was exciting," said Jiang Mei, who brought her son to the concert to help him learn more about China’s history. "Macao is a part of China. It is Macao's 22nd anniversary. I cannot visit there because of the epidemic situation."
Jiang said she hoped more and more concerts from Zhuhai and Macao would come to North China to make locals know more about them.
