On Oct 27, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 39 new cases of confirmed infections (16 imported cases, 8 in Zhejiang province, 3 in Henan province, 2 in Fujian province, 1 in Beijing municipality, 1 in Hubei province and 1 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, including 8 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases in Zhejiang; 23 indigenous cases, 8 in Gansu province including 4 in Zhangye, 1 in Lanzhou, 1 in Lanzhou New Area and 2 in Jiayuguan, 7 in Alshaa League, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 3 in Changping district, Beijing, 2 in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, 1 in Heihe, Heilongjiang province, 1 in Rizhao, Shandong province and 1 in Zigong, Sichuan province, including 2 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 1 in Beijing and 1 in Sichuan), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 23 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 966 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases increased by 6.

As of 24:00 on Oct 27, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 9,546 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 9,168 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 378 confirmed cases (including 1 case in serious condition) and 3 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Oct 27, the National Health Commission had received reports of 96,938 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 91,643 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 659 confirmed cases (including 33 cases in serious condition) and 4 suspected cases. 1,240,694 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 39,121 were still under medical observation.

On Oct 27, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 31 new asymptomatic cases (20 imported cases; 11 indigenous cases, 4 in Rizhao, Shandong, 3 in Heihe, Heilongjiang, 2 in Changping, Beijing and 2 in Dehong Dai and Jingpo autonomous prefecture, Yunnan province). 5 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (all were imported cases) and 10 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 8 imported cases). As of 24:00 on Oct 27, 408 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 366 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Oct 27, 28,800 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 12,335 in Hong Kong (213 had died and 12,033 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 77 in Macao (66 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 16,388 in Taiwan (847 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
