Yantai conference promotes digital cooperation

A conference focusing on digital economy was held in Yantai, a coastal city in East China's Shandong province, from Oct 11 to 13.

Nearly 300 experts, scholars, and enterprise managers in related fields across the country attended the conference to discuss digital economy developmental trends, as well as share their successful experiences.

The conference also included a series of activities for high-end dialogues, business exchanges, and parallel forums. A forum focusing on smart manufacturing and digital technologies in China and Japan was also held during the event.

Agreements for 12 projects were signed among the Yantai government and enterprises for cooperation in new generation information technology, as well as smart manufacturing.

Yantai has a solid industrial foundation and is making efforts to promote digital economy development, said Zheng Deyan, mayor of Yantai.

The city is striving to develop an integrated and innovative digital economy. An online government service platform also has been launched to benefit local residents.
