Guangxi inks $15b cultural tourism deals

A host of 33 major cultural tourism cooperation projects in Guangxi with an overall investment of more than 93 billion yuan ($15 billion) were signed during the signing ceremony of the 2021 Guangxi Culture and Tourism Development Conference on Oct 24.
The 2021 Guangxi Culture and Tourism Development Conference, lasting from Oct 24 to 26, was expected to deepen investment development and cooperation in the tourism industry and accelerate the construction of a world tourism destination in Guangxi.
The projects covered various sectors spanning cultural tourism complexes, industrial parks, big health tourism and tourism infrastructure construction. Of them, 17 are in Beihai with a total investment of 81 billion yuan, making a new milestone in Beihai's cultural tourism construction.
A new preferential policy has been released to support Beihai to become an international coastal tourism hot spot. It has pointed out that the Beihai international cruise port will be built, encouraging the city to launch more domestic and overseas cruise tourism routes as well as more international flights to ASEAN countries.
As of now, a number of 57 major cultural tourism projects are under construction in Beihai with their total investment amounting to over 200 billion yuan.
