A promotional event to introduce the new flight schedule of Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport in the upcoming winter season was held in Zibo, East China's Shandong province, on Oct 21.
Officials from the Zibo Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau and Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport, as well as representatives of Shandong Airlines, Southern Airlines, Sichuan Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines, travel agencies, and some local media were present at the event.
To improve the flight schedule, it has been reported that the Jinan airport launched new flights to nationwide destinations such as Hailar in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Jingzhou in Hubei province, and Xichang in Sichuan province. The airport also increased the frequency of flights linking Jinan to the cities of Shanghai, Chengdu in Sichuan province, Kunming in Yunnan province, Wuhan in Hubei province, Haikou in Hainan province, and Changsha in Hunan province.
Yu Shuangsheng, deputy director of the Zibo Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau, gave a welcome speech and made a comprehensive briefing on Zibo's cultural and tourism attractions and recommended travel routes, highlighting the "Touring Zibo Together" project – a series of activities themed around historical culture, scenic landscapes, folk culture, intangible cultural heritage, and local food.
In the future, Zibo and Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport will further strengthen mutual cooperation on the promotion of cultural and tourism resources and exchange activities. The Jinan airport will also work with more airlines to optimize and improve the flight network and launch more flights to meet economic and social development needs.
The city terminal at Zibo's Zhangdian district makes it convenient for Zibo locals to travel via the Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport.
