Guiyang city and the nearby Guian New Area will organize a delegation to attend the 18th China-ASEAN Expo, which will be held in Nanning city, capital of South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Sept 10-13.
As a guest of honor of the expo, Guiyang will showcase its high-profile image, hold exchange meetings for commerce and trade deals and organize business matchmaking activities at the expo.
The presentation on the city's image will focus on Guiyang's achievements in poverty alleviation, the big data industry, environmental protection and its opening-up, as well as development targets for the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) period.
Guiyang's exchange meetings for commerce and trade will invite diplomats, business associations and enterprises from member countries of Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), the massive new regional trade bloc in which China is a key member.
The exchange meetings will aim to enhance Guiyang and Guian's commercial cooperation and exchanges in cross-border trade, trade in services, bilateral investment and tourism with RCEP members. Projects involving foreign investment and cross-border trade will be signed and released at the meetings.
Guiyang and Guian's 15 participating enterprises – involved in advanced technology, high-end equipment manufacturing, cultural and creative products and food – will attend the expo. They will introduce Guiyang and Guian's competitive industries, seek business opportunities and ways to expand into the international market.
According to the Guiyang bureau of commerce, preparations for the expo are ongoing and the bureau will promote Guiyang's rural revitalization, its attractive environment, big data, its opening-up, consumption and transportation – and plug Guiyang's sound investment environment.
