Southwest China's Guizhou province and South China's Guangdong province held a business promotion meeting in Guangdong's provincial capital of Guangzhou on Sept 8.
The meeting witnessed the signing of 238 business agreements with a total investment of 133.57 billion yuan ($20.69 billion).
The agreements include seven cooperation agreements and 19 industrial investment projects involving basic materials, big data, health care, and medical treatment.
In recent years, Guizhou has enhanced its commerce cooperation with Guangdong, and optimized its business environment to attract more Guangdong enterprises. In 2021, 202 Guangdong enterprises were attracted to Guizhou, bringing in 8.49 billion yuan in investment.
In the same period, Guizhou and Guangdong co-constructed 67 industrial parks, including 54 agriculture industrial parks. They also attracted 74 enterprises and 1.56 billion yuan in investment to industrial parks.
In the next five years, Guizhou and Guangdong will continue to carry out cooperation in industry, agriculture, tourism, and medical treatment, contribute to rural revitalization, and accelerate rural and agricultural modernization.
