Yantai to host Shandong provincial tourism development conference

The 2021 Shandong Provincial Tourism Development Conference will be held in Yantai, Shandong province from Sept 22 to 24.

The conference strives to create a high-level and distinctive tourism event to continuously enhance Shandong's international and domestic appeal.

Officials from the country's provincial departments of cultural and tourism, investors, as well as representatives of international organizations have been invited to participate in offline and online activities.

The opening ceremony will be held in Yantai Haibin Square on Sept 22.

A large-scale cultural tourism performance will take place after the opening ceremony, showcasing Yantai's culture and tourism resources.

On Sept 23, participants will visit three distinctive cultural tourism projects, such as the Qushan Valley wine health and leisure experience area in Penglai dsitrict, and a wine themed block in Zhifu district .

In addition to the conference, four supporting activities will be organized, including cultural and tourism achievement exhibitions taking place in 16 cities across Shandong province.

Participants will also be able to enjoy special activities, such as night tours and boutique travel routes, to fully experience the charm of Yantai.

A series of preferential policies for the public have also been implemented, such as free admissions to Penglai Pavilion and 10 national scenic spots.

The 2021 International Coastal Leisure Quality Development Forum will also be held in Yantai from Sept 22 to 23.

Representatives of coastal cities, experts, scholars, and other guests will discuss the high-quality development of international coastal leisure industries.
