Beijing Forestry and Parks Bureau announced its 2021 wild terrestrial animals list on Tuesday, which has shown that the capital is one of the cities with the greatest biological diversity in China.
According to the list, Beijing has 596 types of wild terrestrial animals, including 503 birds, 63 mammals and 30 amphibians.
In Beijing, up to 126 types of animals including ciconia nigra, crossoptilon mantchuricum and prionailurus bengalensis are on China’s national priority protection list.
