Tourism in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region has been performing strongly, with revenue generated by the sector during the National Day holiday period coming in at 5.34 billion yuan ($801.20 million).
Over the seven-day holiday from Oct 1 to 7, tourists made 9.10 million trips to the autonomous region.
To boost tourism and retail spending over the holiday, Inner Mongolia launched a variety of activities revolving around local customs, history, and culture, as well as tourism related to the history of the Party.
It also strengthened market supervision and improved tourism services to improve the experience of visitors.
