A club for entrepreneurs from the world's top 500 enterprises unveiled plaques at the Annual Meeting of Transnational Investment in Guangdong on Sept 28 and has officially settled in China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (CSGKC).
The club will boost cooperation, investment, cultural exchange, and the opening-up of transnational enterprises under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership. In addition, it will help CSGKC become an engine to propel the high-quality development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
A Guangzhou Development District (GDD) foreign-invested enterprise association was also launched at the annual meeting.
The GDD is a key investment area for transnational enterprises. It is home to more than 200,000 market entities, and more than 3,700 transnational enterprises. The world's top 500 entriprises have invested in 196 projects in the area.
Local actual used foreign investment has ranked first in Guangzhou for more than 20 consecutive years and has been among the top three of national economic development zones for five consecutive years. GDD's actual used foreign investment has reached $2.2 billion so far this year.
