Sept 27: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On Sept 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 35 new cases of confirmed infections (22 imported cases, 12 in Yunnan province, 3 in Beijing municipality, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Liaoning province, 1 in Shanghai municipality, 1 in Jiangsu province, 1 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Shandong province and 1 in Guangdong province, including 3 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 1 in Tianjin, 1 in Zhejiang and 1 in Guangdong; 13 indigenous cases, 11 in Harbin, Heilongjiang province and 2 in Xiamen, Fujian province), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 36 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 958 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 1.

As of 24:00 on Sept 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 8,977 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 8,451 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 526 confirmed cases (including 3 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Sept 26, the National Health Commission had received reports of 96,050 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 90,402 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 1,012 confirmed cases (including 11 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases. 1,188,820 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 20,176 were still under medical observation.

On Sept 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 20 new asymptomatic cases (17 imported cases; 3 indigenous cases in Heilongjiang - 2 in Harbin and 1 in Suihua). 23 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 20 imported cases) and 3 (imported cases) became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on Sept 26, 344 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 334 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Sept 26, 28,448 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 12,193 in Hong Kong (213 had died and 11,892 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 66 in Macao (63 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 16,189 in Taiwan (841 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
