Ford started pre-sales of the Evos SUV with suggested prices beginning at 227,800 yuan ($35,241) on Sept 26.
The model is equipped with a 1.1-meter-screen inside, with a new-generation Sync plus 2.0 intelligent connected system and 18 intelligent driving assistant features, aiming to become a smart partner for the passengers and driver.
The crossover SUV is a class-leading 2,945 millimeters in length and 1,920mm in width, and offers rear-passenger leg room that is competitive in the segment.
Featuring 2.0-liter engine with automatic transmission, the car accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 6.6 seconds.
Equipped with Ford’s first Level 2 plus autonomous driving assistant system BlueCruise, ADAS map data, cameras and radar sensors, GPS and driver attention monitoring system, the model allows autonomous driving on expressways and certain sections of urban road.
As the first mass-produced Vehicle-to-Infrastructure system, the model can connect with an urban smart transportation system. According to Ford, Evos will connect to the intelligent transportation system of nine major cities in China by the end of this year.
As a gasoline-powered intelligent car, it allows the online upgrade of 95 percent of modules, which can constantly provide a new driving experience for the customers, the carmaker said.
