The 2021 China Electronic Materials Industry Technology Development Conference was held in Guangzhou's Huangpu district on Sept 24.

Top-level experts, academicians and enterprise representatives conducted discussions on the industrial demands of integrated circuits, 5G, new-type displays and new energy sectors, which lead the development of electronic materials.

Zhou Ji of Tsinghua University, Shen Baogen of Chinese Academy of Sciences' Institute of Physics, Peng Xiaojun of Dalian University of Technology, and Feng Zhihong of the China Electronic Technology Group Corporation's 13th Research Institute shared their insights on electronic materials, rare earth and magnetic materials, semiconductor materials and intrinsically flexible displays, extreme ultraviolet photoresists, and wide bandgap semiconductor technology at the opening ceremony.

Seven sub-forums focused on topics like wide bandgap semiconductors and IC manufacturing materials, and advanced sealing materials and technology as well as 5G applications and intelligent terminal materials.

The latest technologies and applications in the domestic electronic material sector were shared at the event through exhibitions, industrial surveys and project matchmakings.

The list of top 20 new materials enterprises in Guangzhou was released at the conference, of which 10 are located in Huangpu.
