SAIC offered a glimpse into smart functions of its SUV MG One on Thursday in Shanghai.
The model is built on SAIC's smart platform SIGMA, which stands for SAIC Intelligence Global Modular Architecture.
The model features Qualcomm's 8155 chip, which is usually found in premium models. It is capable of 3.6 million calculations per second.
It boasts voice command as well as many smart functions.
The model has the popular application Bilibili installed and the driver and passengers can open and give thumbs-up via voice command.
The MG One SUV boasts advanced driving-assist functions based on high-precision maps in collaboration with Navinfo, China's largest digital map provider.
It has the largest number of sensors among its segment: five millimeter wave radars from Bosch, four cameras and 12 supersonic sensors.
The model is also the first gasoline car that enables the driver to open the door with his or her mobile phone without taking them out of their pockets.
The MG One will unlock its doors when it senses the approach of the authorized mobile phone and lock them when the mobile phone moves further away from the vehicle.
