María Jose Haro Sly is a 2020 graduate from the Silk Road School of Renmin University of China from Argentina whose Chinese name is Wu Qi.
Sly has studied various subjects like sociology, political science, and international relations in different countries like Germany, Brazil, Portugal, and the United States. She has also been interested in China since 2017.
"China is a hot topic in Argentina, but few people really know about the country," she said. While studying in Brazil, the Silk Road School was recommended to Sly.
"The Silk Road School provides a cross-cultural learning environment for students from all over the world. The learning atmosphere in the school has broadened my horizon," she said. "We learned about the economic situation and cultural customs of many countries. We discussed the possible future development of cooperation between China and our home countries."
Sly studied politics, law, and investment at the Silk Road School. Currently, she is working to help the government of Argentina foster more cooperation with China.
Established in 2018, the Silk Road School of Renmin University of China has attracted 205 students from more than 60 countries and regions all over the world.
Nearly 100 graduates of the Silk Road School have started to work in fields like politics, economy, culture, and education around the world.
