Fruitful harvest scenes at ecopark in Jiangsu

Have you heard of the Eight Water Treasures, a name that refers to the edible parts of eight aquatic plants? These include lotus roots, taros and water chestnuts.

Covering an area of more than 230 hectares, a pond full of these “eight treasures” recently saw a fruitful harvest at the Luzhi Shuibaxian Ecopark in Suzhou, Jiangsu province. Women in colorful traditional clothing are busy harvesting them.
