2021'Beijing in the Eyes of Foreign Friends' Photo Contest issues call for entries

The 2021 "Beijing in the Eyes of Foreign Friends" Photo Contest is calling for international friends to submit photographic works that reflect the political, social and cultural development of Beijing, following the theme of "Modern Beijing".

The contest was launched in 2009 and has been successfully held for 11 sessions. It is a vital component of the "iBeijing You and Me" activities, organized by the Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries to help foreign expats get to know Beijing better and integrate into the city smoothly.

Awards and Prizes

★ First prize: 1 winner, with 5,000 yuan in prize money

★ Second prize: 2 winners, with 2,000 yuan in prize money for each

★ Third prize: 3 winners, with 1,000 yuan in prize money for each

★ Award of excellence: 34 winners, 500 yuan in prize money for each

Requirements:

1 All submitted photos have to be taken in recent years and should be authentic and original. Both black and white photos and colored photos will be accepted. Entries can be single photos or a series of photos. Photos can be slightly adjusted for better display, but editing techniques like synthesizing or adding content are not allowed.

2 Photos submitted should be in JPEG format at 100 percent quality. The size should not be less than 5MB. No limit is set for the number of photos or photo series submitted. However, each series should contain no more than four photos.

3 All participants must own copyright of their entries. The photos shall not be plagiarized, copied or counterfeited works. Participants will take full responsibility for any legal dispute involving portrait rights, reputation rights or copyright.
