The fifth CPC Hechi munpical congress proposed that Hechi will focus on industrial transformation and upgrading, and promote the development of industrialization for the next five years.
During the next five years, Hechi will focus on the construction of a non-ferrous metal industrial cluster, China's new silk industry center, China's healthy and longevity drinking water base as well as China-ASEAN (Bama) big data cloud computing base and big health industry development base. It will also continue develop the electronic information industry, the calcium carbonate industry, leading liquor companies, and the biomedicine and chemical industry, according to Chen Fanteng, director of the Hechi municipal bureau of industry and information technology.
Meanwhile, Hechi will make efforts to develop into an international livable and healthy tourist destination, and strive to double the total number of tourists and total consumption by 2025, said Wei Hongzhen, director of the Hechi municipal bureau of culture, radio, television, sports and tourism.
Wei added that the city will accelerate the development of the health and cultural tourism industry, and strive to build a national 5A-level scenic spot as well as two national resort areas. The 16 national 4A-level scenic spots including Liu Sanjie's Hometown Tourist Area and Nandan Geyasigu Scenic Spot will also be optimized. The city aims to realize the integration development of tourism with sports, agriculture, industry, forestry, technology and education.
Hechi's industrial parks will focus on the investment promotion and expand their scales by optimizing business environments and improving service capabilities, according to Hechi's industrial park management committee.
