Wuxi ranks highly in public service satisfaction sector

Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province came in seventh in terms of public service satisfaction among 110 Chinese cities in 2020, according to results from the State Administration for Market Regulation, China's top market regulator.

The results looked at 12 aspects including public education, public employment, medical services, social security, and public utilities, highlighting various levels of public satisfaction with public sector efficiency.

Wuxi ranked second in the country in public utilities satisfaction, third in public sports satisfaction, and sixth in government service satisfaction.

Chengdu in Sichuan province, Huzhou in Zhejiang province, and Nanjing in Jiangsu province were the three cities with the best public services.

Wuxi's real estate trading hall located on Wenhua Road now provides online sign-off machines, allowing residents to submit applications through PC terminals, self-service machines, apps, WeChat mini programs and other online channels, which are automatically judged by the system and can be completed without the help of staff within five minutes. At present, such self-service processing has been applied in about 20 percent of the city's stock housing transaction contract filings.

Many locals also enjoy sports on the smart fitness trail in the Shangxian River Wetland Park in Wuxi. They can not only check the time and weather through the electronic screen at the starting point, but also participate in the "Smart Fitness Competition" by scanning the code with their mobile phones.

By the end of 2020, the city's per capita sports venue area had reached 3.54 square meters. With a total investment of more than 30 million yuan ($4.64 million), Wuxi is promoting the construction of public sports facilities on idle lands. Nearly 86,000 square meters of public sports facilities will have been built in the urban area after completion.
