GAC Aion unveiled its latest battery technology on Monday that will enable electric cars extend their driving mileage by 200 kilometers in five minutes.
The Guagnzhou-based electric carmaker said the achievements are the results of its research and development efforts.
Aion said the battery technology has passed China's national verifications and tests and will be used in its models soon.
It has also come up with an high-voltage platform that can work at 880 volts and has a charging output of 480 kW, higher than those of Porsche's electric car Taycan.
At the same event, the carmaker unveiled a charging pole that has an maximum output of 480 kW, which is the largest in the industry.
Aion said the first super charging station featuring such poles has become operational in Guanghzhou.
It said over 2,000 super charging stations will be built by 2025 in over 300 cities across the country.
