Shanxi University earns 2020 Shanxi Science and Technology Awards

Shanxi University's three scientific and technological achievements recently won first-place in the 2020 Shanxi Science and Technology Awards announced by the provincial government of North China's Shanxi province.

Among them, two achievements of the College of Physics and Electronic Engineering concerning quantum coherent spectroscopy technology and applications and all-solid-state single-frequency continuous wave lasers, won the first-place prize of the Shanxi Technology Invention Award.

Key technology integration and application related to the land space management and ecological restoration of Shanxi Plateau, in cooperation with Beijing Normal University and Shanxi Weihang Technology Co, won the first-place prize of the Shanxi Science and Technology Progress Award.

The 2020 Shanxi Science and Technology Awards recognized scientific and technical personnel and organizations that contributed a great deal to the advancement of scientific and technological progress and socioeconomic development in the province last year.

Recipients took home 19 first-place prizes, 85 second-place prizes, and 89 third-place prizes in the project category, while 10 enterprises won enterprise tech innovation awards.
